Benadryl for the outdoors packaging
The Benadryl for the Outdoors packaging prototype was created as an on-the-go version of the traditional medicine for outdoorsmen and would hypothetically be sold at retailers like REI, where customers are willing to to pay more for a product that improves their outdoor experience. Due to this, the product uses a hard, waterproof case, which is recognizable for customers, can be reused to carry valuables, and will not be crushed in a backpack.
Upon opening the container, the user first sees a card with dosage instructions and warnings. This card is affixed to the packaging, so it cannot be thrown away or lost. The pill packaging is easy to open, since it might be needed in an emergency; it has two pull tabs, which gently adhere to the card backing. Upon lifting a tab, a pill, which is also gently adhered to the tab, will be lifted out of its pocket for easy grabbing. Also included in the box is a small first aid booklet. This booklet carries the branding throughout the product, as well as gives the user prevention, treatment, and tips for four common outdoor injuries or illnesses.
