Chapman commemorative poster & Holiday Card
Chapman University approached the Advanced Graphic Design class for the annual Commemorative Poster design to highlight the new residence halls. With the building of Chapman Grand and The K, Chapman is moving closer to its goal of giving every student a warm, inviting, and luxurious place to call home during the school year.
This was highlighted through the depiction of the entrance ways of the new buildings, since this is the first thing students see when they arrive. In the final poster solution, the buildings were turned into vector illustrations and given a grand entrance with a fenestra crosswalk leading them in to their own unique window of opportunity. The background mimics a beautiful California sunset using the secondary Chapman colors, and the typography tells viewers to “Make Yourself at Home at Chapman University,” which further emphasizes the goal of making students feel comfortable in this new setting.
